Who Are We?

Welcome! This is the first year that Rode Kruis Studenten Desk Zeeland has existed. We are: Philippa Parmar, Frensis Bras, Irina Raijoketsky and Keristiena Shenouda.

Hi, I am Philippa and I am 19 years old. I am English, but I was born and raised in the Netherlands and feel very at home here. I am studying Literature, Linguistics and Art History and will complete a minor in Anthropology. I first became interested in the Red Cross when i travelled to India and saw extreme poverty. I decided i wanted to help people in my own area, and this is exactly what the Student Desks aim for.

Hi I am Frensis, 21, born in Barendrecht. I am particularly interested in Law and Politics. I joined the Student Desk under the motto: a better world starts with yourself. I regards the Student Desk as an unique experience to make the world that bit better!

Hi i am Irina, and I study Law at the Roosevelt Academy. Before I came to the Netherlands, I worked in the Israelian army as a primary school teacher. This was certainly an enriching experience that I will always remember, and one which i will try to apply to my work here at the Red Cross.
